From Shamrock to Four-Leaf Clover
It’s been pretty quiet around these parts for a little while, but now that it’s finally St. Patrick’s Day, we are ready to share why. The shenanigans continue, WE ARE HAVING ANOTHER BABY! Yes that’s right, our Shamrock of kids will become a four-leaf clover this summer! We anticipate the new leprechaun in the July/August time frame.
Our kids are very excited to add another little Allard to the mix and are all very sweetly patting and talking to the baby bump. The boys are busy trying to name their new little sibling and most of their suggestions are hilarious (many involve butts, farts, or names of our existing children or close friends).
In keeping with our year of balloon arches and family parties we celebrated our Irish luck and the holiday with festive garb, photos, and charcuterie board that Aaron clever rebranded a Shamcuterie board for the occasion - complete with a fruit rainbow, pot of gold, and lots of yummy themed foods.
Here’s a limerick Aaron composed for the occasion:
You’re having four kids? That’s bold!
Don’t the nappies and feedings get old?
But the nights we’ve not slept
and this secret we’ve kept,
feels to us like a wee pot of gold!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
